WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: The Legendary Billie Holiday's Beloved Dog

THE INCOMPARABLE BILLIE HOLIDAY WITH HER BELOVED PIT BULL, MISTER

"In the 70’s they blamed the Dobermans.
In the 80’s they blamed the German Shepherds.
In the 90’s they blamed the Rottweilers.
Now they blame the Pit Bulls.
When will they blame the humans?”
- Cesar Millan

    1. I love that quote too, it really drives home the ridiculousness of breed discrimination and misguided public perception. Any good dog can turn bad with the wrong owner. Thanks for stopping by Jenna!

  9. What a great quote from Mr. Millan! I wonder what "feared" dog will be next? :/ I love looking back at old photos and seeing how loved pit bull breeds were back then - especially Petey from Little Rascals! <3

    1. I love the quote too, it's so true. I also wonder who the next target breed will be? I loved Petey! There were so many beloved Pit Bulls in the public eye - it's a shame that changed. So many Pits and Pit mixes get passed over at the shelter, breaks my heart. Thanks for visiting us Chelsea!
